The UEFA and the United Nations in Geneva have come together to organise a ‘Match for Solidarity’ on Saturday, April 21st at 16h at the Geneva Stadium. Funds raised by this match will be contributed to humanitarian and development projects led by the UEFA Foundation for Childhood.
This charity match will oppose two teams, trained by Carlo Ancelotti and Didier Deschamps and will be captained by Luis Figo and Ronaldinho repectively. The match will be overseen by the previous international referee, Pierluigi Collina.
