Young prodigy of the Malian pop, Fatoumata Diawara, on the dry guitar, combines folk, jazz and funk with her African influences. At the center of his music, his warm and touching voice, his beautifully melodic songs forcefully tell a busy life, sometimes difficult. First actress in theater and cinema, Fatoumata Diawara was not predestined for a career as a singer. In 2002, the young actress fled from her native Mali to go on a world tour with the troupe Royal de Luxe. Behind the scenes, she sounds her sweet and warm voice, without suspecting that she will later charm the public of Parisian clubs and renowned artists like Herbie Hancock, Damon Albarn or Bobby Womack. The singer, who has also become a guitarist and composer, has released a first solo album in 2011, Fatou, where she pays tribute to the Malian blues. In Geneva, Fatoumata Diawara will invite the public to present her new album FENFO co-produced with Matthieu Chedid, better known under the name -M-.
