another unique zurich institution, maison blunt does brilliant 'oriental' and european brunches. presumably a former garage, the atmosphere is great, the crowd is largely too cool, youngish art gallery frequenting (or owning) 30 somethings, with their baby's. the only shocker is what they charge for a bit of peppermint and hot water in a glass. wow. otherwise i love blunt's.

fresh and very good food at reasonable prizes. (it's still zurich ;-) much better athmosphere if you avoid the regular brunchtime on weekends. ...love it during the week or early on a weekend!

Quite the weekend brunch-for-hipsters scene going on here. But if you enjoy people watching while eating near-eastern food or toking on a Shisha/Water Pipe then this is a great place for you! Evenings are less crowded and offer nice cocktails in a more chill atmosphere... Brunch is rather packed and buzzing, so make a reservation. The decor is very interesting, as can be seen from the photos. The wait staff is funky and quite friendly. Seating is outside sidewalk-cafe, inside on low round traditional tables with squat seats and pillows, inside normal chair-and-table... and outside back on the sunny patio. Go there, you will not be disappointed.
