Review of The Dolder Grand from 04 August 2011

This is a stunning hotel in a peaceful location with fantastic views of Zurich. The bar is absolutely gorgeous. Think Harry Potter meets some swank bar in New York or Hong Kong with it's dangling candles and black granite. Service was excellent too. Altogether, I'm not sure about some of the modernisations of this fairy tale hotel. The Norman Foster extension looks hideous, as do some other additions. But the bar is fabulous. It's a great place to head for a night cap.
